Candidate will be responsible for the design and development of automated inspection, measurement and test systems. This will include component selection, schematics, testing, troubleshooting, schedule adherence, cost, performance and quality. Applications and must be able to interact well with clients during all phases of the system integration process. This position requires some travel but is centered around the Raleigh-Durham, NC area.

Job Requirements

Qualified individuals will have the following minimum requirements:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to use schematic capture tools
  • Solid understanding of the operation of data acquisition fundamentals (for example plug-in data acquisition cards, RS232, GPIB, PXI devices and signal conditioning of various sensors)
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills to include using a multimeter, oscilloscope, and soldering iron
  • Willingness to contribute ideas and work closely with Software Engineering and Fabrication staff
  • Strong desire to learn and expand knowledge and skills
  • Ability to multi-task and take initiative
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

The following additional skills and experience are a plus:

  • Fixture design skills
  • Familiarity using National Instruments hardware and LabView software

Candidates should be enthusiastic and self-motivated with an interest in real computer applications and must be able to interact well with clients during all phases of the system integration process.
